Be creative and write about something you feel important or something you would like to tell your audience. Write about something you are passionate about. THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!!
You must remember your audience. It is not simply me (Mr. Katz) reading this blog!
If you will be ranting about a certain individual, you need to leave their name out of this. You could give them a pseudonym (example: Mr. Ed) or simply leave their name as anonymous.
Make sure your language is appropriate. Do not go on swearing tangents and try not to blog about blogs :)
Since this blog is free choice i decided to write about how great carnival was. Carnival day was really fun for me because there was a lot of fun games to play with my friends. It was good that the weather was great because at least it was not cold or raining. This day was truely the best day of the year.

DeleteToday I totally stayed for the whole carnival, but afterwards I hung out with my friends matt and evelyn all afternoon. i think I've talked about both of them in blogs before. We sort of just bused around the West Island, mostly eating food and walking around and talking talking talking over each other even. It was really nice to talk like that. I feel like it's been a while since I've haad a really good conversation with either of them. Anyway, I had a really good day. Hope everyone enjoyed carnival.

ReplyDeleteHas anyone started studying for exams yet? I have friends who have and others who say they will start a week before. I have everything organized and ready to start I just haven't had the chance to actually study. This might just be me but I feel like teachers are giving a lot more work because we only have something like 22 days left. The amount of projects and other test I have coming up is definitely preventing me from starting.
I totally agree! I am so focused on the NOW that I don't really think of exams because they are so far in the future( but not really).
DeleteI am going to Blog about a new movie that just came out in theatres Avengers: Infinity War. WAIT! I haven't actually watched it yet so NO SPOILERS, please. I am super excited to see it BUT I will only be able to see after it is out of the theatres because I am seeing it with my family and my step-dad is away on a business trip for 2 MONTHS!!! So he gets back in June and that is when I will finally see it. I want to see the movie very much but I will only see it with my whole family because we made it a tradition to see all the Marvel and DC movies together when they come out.

DeleteI have to be honest, DC movies are garbage. Marvel is a lot better. I started to watch a DC movie and Twenty minutes in I fell asleep.
DeleteToday i will be blogging about what i did over the past week end. I had made a u15 hockey that would go play in a tournament. My team had done very well in this tournament all the way up to the finals. One of our best players had gotten injured. We started off the game not playing very well but usually that is how it always is. But this time it did not get any better it got worse. We ended up losing the finals and went home disappointed.

Deleteso far we have been reading romeo and Juliet. personally i don't like Shakespeare so this book feels like its never ending. i used to read a lot in elementary but then around grade 6 i stopped. i haven't read a book just to read since then. no books seem interesting enough to read all the way through. maybe as i get older i will read more

DeleteIs it only me who hates these free choice blogs? I don't know about you guys, but I am not exactly the most creative person so thinking of ideas isn't exactly the easiest. It also seems like having to do these is because you forgot to assign a real topic and you just need us to do it for marks which seems kind of unfair. Luckily anything means anything so I was able to do this topic but otherwise I would have no clue on what I should do

DeleteFor my blog i'm gonna give my opinion on plays. I honestly hate plays and find them so boring to watch. This is probably because all the plays I've seen are Shakespeare plays or french plays. I hate how during Shakespeare plays they try to modernize it but it just ends up making it worse. Also I don't understand why we are reading the script of a Shakespeare play when we can just watch it. It would be a lot more fun and faster to watch Romeo and Juliet.

DeleteI am so mad. This week, all my friends except for like one person aren't at school. This sucks because now I will be alone in every class and won't have a group to sit with during lunch. I guess it's fine since it's not for a very long time, but I still feel like such a loner without them.
ReplyDeleteSince this is a free blog, I am going to talk about how much I hate the play Romeo and Juliet. I find it so stupid, annoying, and it makes me cringe. Why couldn't we read another novel that is actually good! But, I guess what is done is done. I need to continue forcing myself to listen to this depressing annoying play.

DeleteI don’t know why, but sometimes things just happen to happen at exactly the wrong times. One of the most annoying and common one of these things happens to me all the time, and that’s when I lose my words when I’m trying to have a conversation. I don’t know why, but for some dumb reason I often am trying to talk to/meet people and be funny and whatnot and my mind just goes completely blank during the conversation, usually towards the beginning (or the end, since my lack of words makes them lose interest). I just get super nervous and start sweating (or just heating up) and I wind up just saying something that is uninteresting or just doesn’t make any sense. I hate it so much when that happens, because it really hurts the first impression. I’m trying to be cool and entertaining and fun and whatever and I’m stopped by my nerves, probably because I don’t want to make a wrong move, which I guess makes it safer, but honestly most of the people I meet are really cool and very forgiving.
ReplyDeletei agree with everyone that romeo and juliet is super boring and i'm nearly dying everytime we read. i wish we could end on a more exciting note to the school year.. like a book that isn't bad? I feel like the books we've read this year were really wierd and the only one I actually liked was the glass castle. i really didn't like hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, but its over so thats good.

DeleteI don’t know about anyone else , but I am feeling extremely stressed right now. exams are coming up and i’m freaking out because there’s so much information I have to remember. Also all my teachers are squeezing in last minutes lessons, tests and projects. which doesn’t help with the anxiety I already feel from exams.

DeleteI’m going to talk about this years school carnival for my blog. I have always loved carnivals and can’t seem to understand why someone would find them lame, this year was no exception. The carnival was organized very well and there had a wide variety of activities to keep you occupied. I started off by going to the bouncy houses, then I waited in line for tickets and food and finally played some ping-pong to finish of the carnival. Overall I really enjoyed it and had a blast with my friends.

DeleteSince this is a free blog I'm going to be talking about what I did today. Most of you don't know but I like to sing. Since I was little I would sing and act and I even had an agent (until we found out she wasn't great at her job). So my mom recently got me a singing coach and today was my first singing lesson. It was stressful and I was nervous but it didn't go as badly as I thought it would. I'm looking forward to the next appointment.

Deletesince its a free blog... I just want to remind everyone that they should remeber that north korea has attempted peace before and has broken it as well. Remember how much they sacrificed to get their nuclear war heads. I highly doubt that things will end well considering how thrump hates deals that don't benfeits him(like the iran nuclear deal) meaning that soon north korea may go back to square one with their relationships if thrump plays this situation as a buisness situation

DeleteI'm really stressed about exams, nothing has been going right and I feel like I'm on a desert island with nothing, and no one. I don't know what I'm going to do, I don't want to lose my summer over exams, because that almost happened last year with science and I can't have that again. I don't know what anybody else does to prepare for exams, and if it works, please tell me. I'm terrified of exams and no matter how much I study I always end up forgetting half of what I learned. I'm screwed.
ReplyDeleteFor this blog I’d like to talk about exams for a moment. I think teachers are really pressed at the end of the year and we don’t get that much time to study for a test that literally goes over the entire year. I think finals should really focus on things we learned after Christmas break. I know it’s to make sure we’ve retained all the information we learned throughout the year but there is so much to remember that I’ve only been given a review package in two classes. One of them I only got today. We haven’t even started them yet and we’re still going over notes. I think it also stresses the teachers out as well as the students because they have to finish the last few topics and have tests on them and make sure they’ve helped prepare us for exams.
