I really do not like Donald Trump. He is a terrible president who is racist and sexist. I really don’t think there are any countries that are considered as a “shithole country.” Every country is equal the way they are. I think Canada is a great country because it is so peaceful. I am really happy I live in Canada

DeleteI think what makes Canada such a great place is the diversity. The diversity is not just in the people but in the culture and in the food. It's also in our surroundings. You can go from a busy city to the middle of nowhere in a few hours. It literally has something for everyone. I would never consider any country a shithole as every country has its positives and its negative.

DeleteI think that the current president of the United States is just a distraction. With all the publicity that he is getting because of the choices he has made or the comments. My opinion of him is that he is doing all of these stupid things to distract us, the people from the real problems that are effecting us as we speak. An example: global warming. Instead of back talking about 3rd world countries to the press, we should be finding ways to change the way we are consuming natural resources and exposing too much CO2 into the atmosphere, creating holes in the Ozone and causing drastic changes in the climate. Which is affecting countless species of life. Ex polar bears. We have greater problems than the president's hatred for immigration. Soon these problems are going to catch up with us and then we are going to have to deal with it one way or another.

DeleteI really think that electing donald trump was a mistake and just asking for trouble. Him calling countries "shithole countries" is so rude. Canada is such a great country and I'm really grateful that I live in Canada because it's so peaceful, and accepting, and open. More countries should take after our country. I wouldn't consider calling any country to be a bad country because countries may have bad leaders, or bad ideas, but calling the country and everyone in it bad is a little extreme.

I think that Canada is a great country because we are generally very socialist and left-winged and our president is very good looking. I don’t think that any countries should be considered “shitholes” and Haiti holds a very special place in my heart, so I was pretty upset by Trump’s comment the other day.

DeleteNo words can express how much I hate Trump. He rigged the election with the Russians, he has never released his taxes ( because he has something to hide ) and so much more. There are no shithole countries. Each country has a culture and they are each unique for their own reason. Sure, not all countries get along, it’s normal. But there is no excuse to back up what Trump said. Being the President is all about keeping the Peace and helping your community. Not targeting other countries and making life harder for the ( few ) people who voted for him

I also dislike the president because he is really mean to most of the American because of how they are. So I dislike him because I think that everyone should like each other for whom they are and not be mean how are different. I think that Canada is so great because we all except each other for how we are, and that we are not allowed to have weapons in this country.And I would never consider any countries being a "shithole" country because each country is special in each of their different ways.

DeleteI have very strong feelings towards the president of the united states. First of all, he is absolutely childish and doesn't think before he speaks. He acts as a child and starts unnecessary fights with people. I think Canada is an amazing country. We are very lucky to live in a place that respects and accepts us, unlike other countries. I believe there is no such thing as a "shithole country". Sure there are some countries that are poorer than others, but that doesn't make them "shitholes".

DeleteI think of Donald Trump as a potato that had a face drawn on it with an ugly wig. Then someone smashed another potato and called it his brain. So therefore I do not respect trump or anything that he does or has done. I think that Canada is such a great country because we include everyone in everything that we do. Also we take in people and help them when they need it and when other people wont help them. I would never consider any country as being a shithole country because you can not discriminate an entire country because of what one or more people could have done in the past.

DeleteDonald Trump is a disgrace to humanity; there's no other way to put it.A president is supposed to represent the country as a whole and bring the people together, not create an even greater rift between those with different opinions. Donald Trump’s remark about “shithole” countries was incredibly racist and just proves how immature he is, especially because of what he said about wanting immigrants from Norway right afterwards. Norway is a country that is actually doing very well; it ranks first on both the HDI and IHDI scales, which basically means that overall, Norway has the best life expectancy, education, and average income in the world. What I don't understand is why Trump thinks that Norwegians would want to come to the USA. Why would they want to leave a place with free healthcare, free university, and strong social safety nets? This is getting to be very long, so to conclude I would just like to say this: I thought he was disgusting before he made this statement, and ever since my disgust has increased tenfold.

I love canada and I feel that our leaders have always been qualified and capable of running and operating our country and our people our friendlier and nicer and just better people and that is because our country is run by good people.

DeleteIn my opinion, "President" Donald Trump shouldn't even be considered as a human being. He is rude,vulgar and doesn't know how to properly address people. He needs to start taking examples from people in Canada. Most of us are kind friendly and caring. We also help other's when we see them struggling because us Canadians are great people. Trump also needs to realise that there is no such thing as a "shithole country", even if they are less developed than his own. Those "shithole countries" are the ones that have intelligent people, who save lives and even make them even better. He needs to watch out for the comments that he makes.

DeleteAlthough Donald Trump is a horrible man without any sort of filter, I don't believe he is necessarily a horrible president. Yes he is racist, rude and a bit of a shithole himself, he knows what it takes to keep them safe. On top of this Hillary Clinton wasn't much better she just knew how to hide it. I believe that people making it to be worse than it is. It is a horrible thing to say but at this point in time, every time Trump says something slightly bad everyone freaks out as if he threatened north korea with nuclear weapons:) People need to take a step back and realize that just cause it's a bit bad, doesn't mean it's just as horrible as the other crazier things that he has done or said.

I hear most of the time "Why is this oange cheeto running a country", or "he makes really good decisions and does great things to improve the nation". With all of this, I don't really know what to say about him, exept that he can make good and bad decisions, and when he makes good ones, he makes them all bad. I think he is an okay person, but I don't really think that it is the best idea to let an orange cheeto run a country. Canada is a great country, I'm not just saying that because I live in it, I'm saying that because it is. Canada helps other countries become stronger and helps them get through tough times. They take refugies in and help them have a better life. A SHITHOLE counrty is not something a president should be calling other countries. I would never consider a country SHITHOLE, and I don't consider Haiti a SHITHOLE. If there is a country that I consider a SHITHOLE counrty it's Syria. Wasteland full of war and dangerous people.
ReplyDeleteYesterday Trumps medical test results were released, I wasn't really impressed. They even went as far as increasing his height result by one inch from previous records so that his height to weight ratio wouldn't classify him as obese. To be obese you need to have a BMI score of 30 and Trumps was 29.9 including his false height adjustment, I find this really pathetic. Trumps tweets are a whole new subject, he really doesn't know when to stop and he has no self control what so ever, he might call himself a stable genius but he really isn't stable at all from what we've seen. Canada is great because it is inclusive and accepting, our laws are much better than other places too. Canada does still have some work to do like all other countries so I'm not saying we are perfect.

I don't know much about him but I just think he would think before he speaks. I think Canada is great because it's peaceful and it's not for everyone being so polite. I think this is true because for example, whenever someone bumps into me I still say sorry and vice versa. I don't know why it's just a reaction. I wouldn't consider any country to be a "shithole country" because you can't judge a whole country on certain people that make bad decisions. A lot of people are making negative decisions which reflect on their country. I don't think that is fair because if all of a sudden multiple terrible things started happening in Canada, I wouldn't want everyone else around the world thinking my country is terrible.
ReplyDeleteI find that Trump speaks what he thinks as soon as it crosses his mind, rather than taking into account what might happen if he were to say it. He fails because he doesn't realize that being the most powerful man in the world comes with restrictions. His job is to keep his population happy and his international relations healthy. Instead what he appears to be doing is trying to make the angry, patriotic Americans happy without taking into consideration the interests of the rest of his country as well as other countries. Canada is certainly better off than America in its current state, but I'm not sure how to compare, since there's a vast difference in our populations, territories, and laws. But as far as I can tell, we seem to be doing quite well compared to our southern neighbors.
ReplyDeleteI’ll be honest right here I’m honestly laughing in the debates I see in the news one side saying we’re getting people that won’t contribute while the other saying basically that we should accept everyone. It seems like none of them seem to know how the immigration system works. There’s literally a requirement in education and your current job in that country before you come to Canada/ America even my mom who was a doctor had difficulties coming to canada so I believe that the immigration system is though as it already is. Surprised actually that no one noticed that the immigration system takes people that help the country after the news about the immigration lottery ( which was the only thing that was random allowing people who didn’t have the education to come ) started getting repealed . On the remark of shithole countries I’d say what thrump said was extremely rude and the way he said it, it not only slammed the economics of it and education but the society(people) and culture of it. Believe it or not. Which is quite a weak argument for saying why we shouldn’t have immigrants considering the fact that the immigration picks out the most qualified people (smart, hard workers).as for his governing i’d Give him a 4 out of 10 (below average if we’re using angry joe review rating) as most of his choices quite frankly shits on the economy (quite funny actually he gets voted to make the economy better but he’s making it worse) as in the future they have to start begging China for their technology on renewable and solar energy as that’s where the future is going . He shortened the lifespan of jobs in coal industry as the faster they finish the mine the faster they lose their job. And shut down trade deals in Mexico as they started getting negatives (fun fact the trade deal benefits America one year and New Mexico the other so it balances it out). I’d say Canada’s greatest value is its education and opportunity which America lacks. I can’t judge the politics as it’s ups and downs in every country. One day Britain is having a regular day the other they leave the European Union. America gets their first black president the other year they get their first reality tv president (America broke the wrong boundary there and regrets it XD) meanwhile in Canada Quebec nearly declared its own independence breaking off from Canada ( I don’t remember the year though )

These people are struggling in their country because of the earth quakes and hurricane and many people have died and been affected by the natural disasters. Canada is a great country because no mater where the people are from we accept them it does not mater what culture their are they can come.

Presidents should not be saying these kinds of things and especially not in front of the whole world. I do not think any country is a shithole, not even North Korea. The leader of their country may be but it's they are still not a shithole country. Canada is such a great country because our people are nice and so are our leaders are nice too. I think our Prime minister is an example for us and part of the reason we are all nice in Canada.
