In the Fahrenheit 451, books are rare and valuable.
Throughout the novel, we follow Montag as he discovers the power of literature and risks his life to preserve books.
If you were a rebel in the F451 society, which book would you want to save?
Why is this book so important to you?
Explain.

  1. If I were a rebel in the F451 society, I would try to save as many of my books as possible. I know this sounds like I'm cheating, but I really love all of my books. There is no way I could possibly choose just one. Obviously it would be impossible to save all of them, but I would grab as many as I can. Some of my absolute favourites are Hunger Games, Twilight, Harry Potter, Everything Everything, Me Before You, Before I Fall, Perks of Being A Wallflower, 13 Reasons Why, Lion, John Green books, and the list goes on.

  2. If I were a rebel in the F51 society, I would try to save this book that my mom always read to me when I was really young, this book is really important to me because it holds a lot of memories, and it's one of my most prized childhood possessions. It's called Fidgety Fish. When I was a kid, it was always this book, every single night. I really loved this book so much and I still love it.

    1. That reminds me of a small book I received from my mom, apparently it's been passed down for a while. I don't remember the name but it's got some short Christmas stories.

  3. Being a rebel would be tough, having to choose a single book when there are so many in the world. I would have to say I’d keep my favorite novel, Dragon Slippers. It’s not the most meaningful book ever and doesn’t try to stop and make you think like some other books but I just enjoy reading it. I think it has an interesting plot and just as interesting characters, even though it may seem a little silly. The book’s protagonist is a girl named Creel who obtains a pair of slippers that can control all of the dragons in the land. The only part I slightly dislike is the fact that there is a romantic subplot, but for once I didn’t really mind and barely noticed it. They don’t really go off on it too much and I didn't find it that distracting. I just think that it’s a fun read if you ever want to give it a chance.

    1. I think that that is a cool book because of the dragons. If I ever find it I might read it. Great blog!

  4. I would choose to save a book from my favorite series, Shadow Hunters. It would be the last book in the series. I would choose the last book because it would not end on a clif hanger like the other books before so it wouldn't make me want to read the rest of the series. I would want to choose Shadow Hunters because at the moment it is my favourite series. I love this series because of the paranormal side and the characters.

  5. If i was a rebel in the f451 society the one book that i would choose would be treasure hunters by James Patterson. I would choose this book because this is the book that kept me enthralled the hole time, I always wanted to know what would happen on the next page. In this story you could try to guess what would happen next but most of the time you will be wrong and that is what i enjoyed about it. I have read this 455 page book twice i love it so much. I have have also read the other books in this series that were just as good.

  6. Note: Everything in this entry is based on my own thoughts I'm not trying to convert anybody or anything.
If I could save any book, it would be the Bible. My reason for saving it is that (for me at least) it's such an important and valuable book. It's a bit like a guidebook with all the answers to any questions I have about aspects of life. It has so many different possible interpretations and lessons in it. Some parts I've read have like four different meanings that can address different issues. It's that important that I would save it above all others.

  7. This was a very hard question to answer but I think I would save the bible. I don't enjoy reading so I wouldn't keep a book to read but I would keep a book like the Bible to help guide me. I am Christian so this is my religions holy book and it basically tells us what is right and wrong. For that reason it is very important and I would save it.

  8. If I was a rebel in the F451 society, the book I would have to save is “Girl Nearly 16 Absolute Torture” by Sue Limb. I would have to save this book because this is my favorite book to read. I love this book because this book is not hard to read and because I love the story. Because of those reasons I would have to save this book.

  9. The first thing that popped into my head when I read this blog was Harry Potter, but of course right after that I remembered that the Harry Potter series is not one book, but seven. I’ve tried to pick just one, but if I’m being completely honest, I know that I would never be able to do that. I know that this answer completely disregarding the point of the question, but I really don't have a single favourite book. Anyways, I would save these books because they bring back so many good memories and were a very important part of my childhood. Whenever I couldn't find anything to read, I would turn to Harry Potter. I’ve read these books so many times, I know their characters and stories inside out, but I never get bored of them.

  10. I agree with you, it would be hard to pick one book from a whole series!

  11. If I was put in this situation I would definetly save a children’s book that was given to me by my third grade teacher. It’s called Clementine’s Letter. This book is really important to me because it means a lot to me. My teacher passed away a while ago and she meant the world to me. I’ve memorized what she wrote in my elementary school yearbook. At the end of the year, she bought us each different novels based on who we were and what we liked. Of course, I loved my book and read it multiple times. This is definetly my favorite book that I would save

  12. If I had to save one book I would save Confessions of a Shopaholic. Or something else like it. Just because I feel like it would be really funny. I would save a super fluffy, unoriginal, poorly-written, filler book just for the irony of it. Like all these other people would talk about the super significant meaning their book has to them and I would just be like Confessions of a Shopaholic. I could always borrow someone else’s one book if I wanted to read or whatever.

  13. The first book that got me into reading was Percy Jackson. As soon as a new book from the series came out I would read them right away. The book is about demigods in a Greek universe, I was so obsessed with these books that I could name most Greek gods of the top of my head, I would also read the books in class under my desk in 4th grade lucky for me the teacher was really nice. So if I was a rebel in f451 I would keep one of those books.

  14. I wouldn't be able to try and save just one book. There are so many and they all are so good. An example of a book that is really good is Beastly which is basically like beauty and the beast but a way more mature version. It is so much more detailed and interesting than the dysney movie. I really would like to preserve this book because the book is filled with romance, drama and it has many morals to the story. It is a 320 page book and once I read the first 10 pages I couldn't stop. I honestly would love to share this book with others and I highly recommend it.

    2. this might be unrelated but did you know that in the story beauty and the beast. The beast was cursed when he was around 12 years old(because the flower dies at the age of adult hood) so basically a kid got cursed by a witch for not letting her in. which if you really think about it, you wouldn't let someone into your house for no reason. (stranger danger)

  15. I don't really have a specific book in mind right now since all books hold different words of knowledge in some way, so I would be have to be a major rebel and steal all books. I think that all books are equally as important because as I said before they each hold different things that different people may be interested in.

  16. If I were in the Fahrenheit 451 society I would save my favorite book, The Girl Who Could Fly. I love this book so much. It's been the only book I have reread as I don't generally like rereading books. It was given to me as a present around seven years ago and I have made sure to keep it in pristine condition. The main character is very relatable for me (even though I can't fly) and the book brings in a whole bunch of different genres. Whether its sci-fi or romance this book has it all. These are all reasons why I would want to save this book.

  17. if i were in the Fahrenheit 451 society i would save my all time favorite book (series) Spy School. Spy School is my all time favorite book series of all time and i could not only save one of the books I would need to take all of them because they are all equally amazing. these are my favorite books because there is never a dull moment in the story there is always something going on plus one of the books which was 530 i read it in 4 days witch was a PB. these books are just so cool and they are action packed and i strongly recommend reading them.

  18. If I was a rebel in Fahrenheit 451, one of the first books I would save is most likely The Adventures Of Ulysses. I love this book, and the reason it's so important to me is because it was one of the first books that I actually really and truly enjoyed. I remember when I first read it in grade 7, it was amazing. Even though I don't do well on the tests I still loved the book. I think that a lot of knowledge and inspiration can come from this book because it shows a lot of courage and strength within ourselves. I really thought that this book could be a great one to save for future generations. I can't wait to read it again!

  19. If I where to save one book, I would probably save a book from the Percy Jackson series just because if someone ever had the chance to read it , they would definitely enjoy it ! there are two things that books do. Give pleasure of give knowledge. Knowing the society in Fahrenheit they would choose pleasure, and I would give them a book that gives them immense pleasure! Also because their source of entertainment sucks compared to the Percy Jackson series XD. But in seriousness I definetly would do one of the books from Percy Jackson series just because of how entertaining it is its like your reading a movie.

  20. I am the type of person that enjoys reading books, especially thrillers and mystery. I have many favorite books since many authors that I like, each have a different writing style that I enjoy. But, if I were a rebel in the F451 society, I would have to save The Dead Lifeguard by R.L Stine. R.L Stine is what I believe is my all time favorite author, due to his thrilling novels. The Dead Lifeguard was the first thriller that I had read. I was thrilled by the writing style, and the way that the author kept you on your toes, imagining who the culprit might be. The novel made me branch out to many other thrillers by the same author and mystery books wich allowed me to discover my interest in them. Without this novel, I would have never discovered this talented author, and this amazing book.I would save the book so that the people in future generations would be able to enjoy the novel and all of its wonders.

  21. The book I would want to save is all shakespeare books/scripts. I would want to save them because I think that they are the most important books in the english language. It is culture, It’s the way english used to be and how people learnt many lessons years ago. Without Shakespeare, the world wouldn’t be as it is today.
