I saw the play today i was very confused about what was going on 95 percent of the time. Other than that i thought that play was very good and even though they did not have the lighting it was still very good. The ambiance you got fro the music was also very special. Lastly i also thought that the actors did a great job of representing their character.
I’m not sure what I think about the play yet. It wasn't my favorite but it was not terrible. I thought it ended really oddly and left more questions in the air than answers. The best play/my favorite play I've ever seen was The Mousetrap. I’ve seen this play four times and love it a bit more every time. The worst play I have ever seen was The Wizard Of Oz. I know this is an unpopular opinion but I strongly dislike it.
I am so sick of the Wizard of Oz!! It is so over used in movies, tv shows, school plays etc. Good blog, sharing your opinion ( even if it’s unpopular ) is a good thing!
I actually didn’t see the play! I was summoned by Mr.Doyon because I’m on the yearbook commitee and the yearbook is due Friday! So instead, i’ll just talk about what I did for the yearbook. I basically sat there for a good 2-2 1/2 hours editing and reviewing the yearbook. I never knew how much work went into it, so PLEASE apprecitate this year’s yearbook. I sound exactly like a student council kid saying “ ENJOY THE DANCE WE MADE THIS FOR YOU “ but oh well. I just have a new appreciation for the yearbook now.
I thought that this play was really fun to watch because there were some time it was funny and some part are really sad. The thing that I disliked was that i had to seat on te sides so most of the time I got backs facing me. But the thing that I liked about this play is that it was really interesting and funny. I thought that this play was really well done/practised. The play that we saw today was in my top three play that I saw.
The beginning of the play blew me away because of the music which make it very suspenseful. The music throughout the play was really good and the simple yet imaginative costumes too. I didn't go to Boston so this was the first time I am hearing of the Salem Witch trials. My favorite play would be the one that I saw in Stafford during the Stafford Festival. It was called Guys and Dolls.
I really liked the play today, I thought it was really well played by all the actors and it was kind of creepy at some parts but I liked the most of it. There were parts where I did get confused and it was confusing, but after a while I understood them and I liked the plot too. I haven’t seen any bad plays, but my favourite play was one that I saw on the Stratford trip awhile ago. Guys’N’Dolls, I loved it! It was so upbeat and there was a bunch of action. Plus it was based in like the 40s or 50s, I’m not really sure, but it’s about all these big gangs and mafias. It’s a musical, but the songs are very good, and there are some funny parts.
I thought the play was incredible. I don't think i could have done a better job myself. The actors are very talented. The scene in the beginning with the music and Betty with the teenage girls was intense but very well done. I understood everything because I was captivated the whole time. I couldn't help but laugh at some parts because other people were. My favorite play would probably be Guys n' Dolls from the Stratford Trip. I don't usually enjoy musicals, but this was so fun to watch.
I actually did enjoy the play, I thought it was really well done by the students and teachers who helped out. I was quite surprised by the lack of people who were in it and in the crew. I’m not sure if there were just a ton of people involved in the tech/costumes/makeup parts of the play but the only people we saw were the cast and crew, who only made up like 20 people at most. I was honestly expecting like 40-50 at least to be up on stage for the, erm, credits, I guess. The play was certainly not the best or worst play I’ve seen, but I’d say it fits into the top half in terms of my general enjoyment, even if it was kind of hard to understand at times, especially with all those annoying people chuckling unnecessarily at random times not even meant to be comical, and the people trying to talk quietly behind where I was but not actually being quiet..
I wasn't able to see the play today since I had to work on the yearbook for the last two periods. So, I guess that I will talk about my experience in creating it. We were a small team (I am estimating around 6 grade 9's) since we were chosen from our journalism class. I for one thought that it was going to be easy to create the yearbook, but in fact, it took a lot of hard work and dedication. We needed to scramble to interview teachers, take photos and even find out the names of students in clubs. Building the actually yearbook and editing the pages was tough as well, since that took up the most of our time. In all, being apart of the Yearbook Committee was an excellent experience for me, and I am looking forward to joining it again next year. I hope that you guys enjoy the yearbook and cherish it for a long time!
I thought it was interesting! There were parts that were creepy because of the sound effects and other parts that were even sad. I especially enjoyed seeing people that I know and are friends with on stage not just from our grade. I loved how they changed props between scenes. Everybody were great actresses and actors. It's amazing how they took so much time to prepare a play for us. Overall I think it was really great!
The play was spooky as heck but it was pretty good. I liked seeing some of my friends performing in it, especially considering I don't normaly see them acting that seriously. haha get it acting. I've always really liked seeing plays and I feel like when I was younger I used to go to a lot of shows with my mom. I think my favourite production to date was the Lion King because it was so good.
I thought that the play was very well done. It was a bit hard to follow at certain parts, but I liked it a lot better than last year’s production, which was Peter Pan. The best play I’ve ever seen was probably Guys & Dolls at the Stratford festival this fall. It was a really great production: the choreography was amazing, the sets were super interesting, and the songs weren’t even too annoying, which can't be said about many musicals, to be honest.
Saw the crucible and wasn’t sure what was happening. I found that the characters weren’t introduced properly and that made it hard to follow along as they said more names. Also I didn’t get what the main idea was. It was okay not the best play I’ve seen. Gino in our grade did a great job and gave him a standing O
The play was very well done for a bunch of high school students. Gino was a star actor in this play and made it so much better. I didnt undertand much of this play but I was glad that we got to miss 2 periods for it. They did very well performing without lights and also made it funny.
I found this play pretty confusing, scary, and funny at the same time. The reason why I was confused was because the intro was a little strange. I've also never seen this play or heard of it, so it was kind of hard to understand. The intro was also very scary. I wasn't so sure what was going on at first. I also found some parts funny because there were times where the actors messed up which made then laugh, then made the whole audience laugh. Overall I enjoyed the play and found that the actors very well prepared.
i found the play very confusing but that was what made it interesting. the play seemed very intricate. although the play was good it was just hard to follow. i would think that the play would have been much better with the lights but the made due. the best part of the whole thing was Gino he was the best actor ever and made the play awesome.
considering i wasn’t there i thought it was pretty great. Not having to sit through probably a bad play and instead lying in bed binge watching netflix was pretty great. My favourite part was when that one thing happened near the endish
I thought that the play was very good and that the acting was amazing. I feel like the audience could have held there composer a little bit more but overall it was very good. I thought that the story was very interesting and that the characters developped well. I liked that the story was based on true events. Since I have not seen very many plays there is a very fine line for me to judge. The worst play that I think I have seen is Romeo and Juliet only because I didnt like the story.
I felt like it was good. Not amazing but not bad. not meh but not a haha. Most of my problems I had with the play would've been the how Mary(I think that her name) the girl who gave the puppet back stabbed proctor and the other children somehow got her to her side. I found that quite strange considering that the one that saved her was in love with Procter. She went from killing Procter's wife to killing Procter which wasn't the intended goal (which was extremely weird) that left a sour mouth in my mouth. The start was also a bit confusing considering how the were doing a ritual on a little girl. I would've liked some context behind that as well since throughout the story either they said witch craft was real or fake. Its weird how it couldn't choose whether it was fantasy with magic and fairys or a dark 1700 witch trials and how chaotic it was. Another annoyance I had was that the father of the little girl and the little girl basically got deleted and were never seen again even though they were the main cause of this whole event. the story of the guy whos land was getting taken from him sounded extremly intriguing however we never got to see his part of the story completlyy. It sounded epic the fact that he'd rather die than lose his land and ends up getting crushed by stone. I would've loved to see that intense scene and emotion being portrayed by that character or atleast a glimpse of it since it would shown something bigger that was happening behind all these accusations and witch trials. Sadly they just mentioned some parts of it instead of showing it. the light shows being canceled also had a huge impact in my opinion since they could've done something cool to keep our attention however instead it became really boring during the waiting time. Another criticism I have for the play was the development of the characters. As I said before some felt like they got deleted right after being introduced and they had a wide varity of characters in there however since the play was around 100 minutes, the development of the characters felt weak. overall the acting was above average which I enjoyed however if they maybe doubled the time to 200 minutes they could've put more development in their so we could sympathies or at least comprehend whats going on in the current setting as when some characters died in the play, I had almost no emotional reaction as I rarely had a second to get emotionally attached or engaged in them in the first place. We get to much glimpses into each character however never enough to really get them resulting in distorted pieces and knowledge which would require me to sit down and write notes and make theories and assumptions on their type of personalities. Which infuriated me . In conclusion great job for the acters however the play REALLY needed to be longer. It felt way too short resulting in weak character and story development.
to be fair it was a free play and not done by professionals so once again keep that In mind................. I don't mean the rant to be a personal attack
since I forgot to add this in my favorite play was when I got to see the peter pan one done by ms. bron . I genuinely haven't seen a play that I can consider "bad" I can nit pick on plays and judge them however I would never go as far as to say they're bad.
I really liked the play, it was really interesting and reflective on actual historical events which I found really interesting. for a high school production it was done really well, the best play I've ever seen was definitely guys and dolls at the stratford festival this past fall, it was ssooo good!! the musical aspect of it was really good and the dancing was great and the story was really good.
