  1. One thing I love about St Thomas is the school pride. Not many schools do as many things as we do. Like dances and pride week. That's why so many people from other schools come here for our dances. Pride week is a lot of fun because of all the activities. We are lucky to go to a school that wants us to get involved. #LoveMySchoolDay

    3. I agree, our school is special because we are the ones who make St. Thomas great. The people who participate and care about this school.

  2. #Lovemyschoolday One thing I love about St-Thomas is that my
super best friend Evelyn switched here from another school this winter. Honeslty, I was super excited but kind of nervous about her switch because sometimes she's actually so annoying and I'm so fake with her and I'm sure she'd say the same thing about me. However, she's like my person and now I have my person with me at school too and i adore her and she makes st-Thomas a better place, for me at least.I feel like I came across as mean but I meant annoying in an endearing, little-sister way and I wasn't like actually nervous abouit her switch.

  3. Saint-Thomas is a great school, and I love it. Saint-Thomas is just so active in all the social events and they organise sports teams, and other teams like the debate team for students to have fun. I mean no matter how you look, act, or are everyone or almost everyone excepts you as who you are. What I love about this school is that it's very opening and welcoming to new ideas and wants to always help others. #Lovemyschoolday

  4. I love my school because I have many friends to rely on. I also love it because most of the teachers I have are very nice and not strict at all, which is good. We are also allowed to wear whatever we want which I find cool. Also, we have many organisations and dances which are always fun. #lovemyschoolday

  6. I love St. Thomas high school because of our school pride. We have the most pride than all the other Lester B Pearson high schools combined. We even host the most amazing dances that everyone wants to go to(especially the summer ones). Our school also has amazing teachers, who help us whenever we need help. I was also lucky to meet amazing people at our school, like Thera, Abigail, Jessica, Kirsten, Maya, etc. I love our school. #LoveMySchoolDay

  7. There are two reasons why I love my school day. The first thing is the diversification. Not only with the students but also with school activities offered. Whether it’s a sport or student council there is something for everyone. The other thing I like about my day is the amount of different classes we have. I know this sounds weird but some school have 75 minute periods and something like 4 periods. I much prefer having so many different classes in one day.

  8. One thing I really like about our school is the IB program. I know “ ugh IB sucks!! “ Sometimes it does, but in the long run I know it will help a lot. Ms.Bron told the class last year that “ if one student from another school had the same average as me and was in an advanced program ex: BHS ( no shade to that school ) I would get it before that person. IB is known internationally and academic wise, it’s tough but worth it. A lot of students in Cégep have to do pages worth of reflections and they often come to me and complain about “ how am I supposed to reflect?!?? What is reflecting “ and I’m the nerd that answers their questions

    1. Ii have a story off how when I was helping out in open house in history class. I tried to explain how ib will help your child in getting a job or getting into cegep however I had the most annoying thing happen to me. Someone older than me like around sec 4 poped up and interrupted me and took the attention of the parents and basically told them that ib has no merit and just gives extra work. It’s really annoying when people who don’t like ib exert their anger by saying what they feel even though they know that ib will benefit them. Like jeez if you hate it that much just drop out of ib don’t complain and lie to parents. Anyway short rant over but I needed that off my chest since the blog reminded me of that moment

  10. i like my school because of the few good teachers that it has and the IB program. although the IB program can be stupid and complicated at some times I feel that it really helps us learn and it helps us become better students. teachers, my school has a lot of good teachers but a lot of bad ones to. I feel that my school need a refresh of teachers just to spice things up and also to replace certain teacher that are just terrible and dotn teach you anything. over all i like my school and i am very happy I chose this school compared to others.

    1. IB is pretty useless to be honest

    2. Finishing high school with IB gives an extra 2% to your overall average when cegeps look at your grades. That 2% could be the difference between getting into a super advanced program and getting into a generic ordinary one.

  11. There are a lot of reasons why I love St Thomas. I find everyone is so nice and accepting here. We also have a lot of school pride. Not a lot of schools do pride weeks or school dances. Our dances are much better than all other schools. I also like our school because of all the sports teams and clubs. There are so many different sports and being on a team is a great experience.

  12. The main reason I like school is because I love hanging out with my friends, and since we have very conflicting schedules and stuff outside of school, that's the place I see them most. Like someone said above, I also like that our periods are relatively short, because I’m pretty sure I wouldn't make it through 75 minutes of french class without falling asleep, to be honest.

  13. One thing I love about st thomas is teachers. Overall our school has a lot of super nice and super chill teacher who either actually teach or who couldn’t care less which are both good. When teachers let you teach their english class then you know that’s a good teacher. Of course there are some exception like just about every french teacher but still the good ones almost make up for the bad ones

  14. I love our school's extracurricular activities! There are sooo many fun things you can do after school that gets you involved with St. Thomas. Like Stained Glass, which is a fun creative way of making a piece of art independently and stress free. Another amazing activity is the St. T drumline. It is a group of students and miss Miller who play outstanding pieces of music, only with various kinds of drums. The St. Thomas drumline performs at open house, pep rallies, at the beginning and end of the Terry Fox walk etc. They also go and perform at competitions! There are numerous musical, art, sport and other activities that the staff and students organize for our school, so that this high school experience will be one to remember.

  15. Although I don’t particularly love school, I think one of the best parts of our school is the IB Program. The people here are pretty ordinary, the extracurriculars are good, but instead of our own enriched program, we are an IB school, an international enriched education, so well known that it boosts our chances of getting into college/cegep. In fact, acceptance into the IB program was one of my deciding factors for even coming to this school in the first place. Even though it’s ridiculously difficult to understand sometimes, it’s still one of the best parts of our school. Without it we’d be just like all the other extraordinarily ordinary schools around here.

  16. I love my school because of my friends. I know this doesn't really include the actual school but it's true. I actually like the people here and feel like if I were to go to anothe school it wouldn't of been as fun and I wouldn't of met the friends I have today. So many things could have changed and I would be where I am now. I like the teachers because a lot of them aren't that strict which I'm greatlful for. #lovemyschoolday

  17. If I had to choose for why I love my school . It’d be the gym, English and math. They’re actually the main reason for why I even go to school basically . I enjoy mr Katz’s English class since it’s so fresh compared to the common English class’s making it not boring and enjoyable to be in which is extremely important for any class. Mathematics because I have my friends there and I can socialize while working since it’s my stronger points. Gym mostly because it’s gym and genuinely fun to exercise. Not just that , it takes out the competitive side of me which I rarely pull out however I enjoy being serious about things and whenever I finish gym I keep that pumped feeling throughout the day making me be excited for other subjects at the same time.

  18. I actually reallly like St-Thomas, there are many things I like about this school and it was a big upgrade from my elementary school, because in high school we have so much more freedom especially in our senior years where we can leave school property at lunch. One of the biggest things that I like about St-Thomas that everyone is probably going to say is that we have so much pride and everyone is proud to attend St-Thomas. We also have good caf cookies.
