In the memoir The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, both Jeannette and Lori MOVE to New York City!

Imagine being able to MOVE to ANY CITY in the USA or in the WORLD!

Which US city would you move to?
Which city in the world would you move to?

Is traveling something you like doing?
Would you want to travel ALONE or WITH SOMEONE?

Explain.

  1. If I had the chance to move anywhere around the world, it would probably be Toronto. I know it sounds kind of lame, but I think I would do well there. I wouldn’t want to go through the whole process of moving to a new country and even if I did that, in order for it to happen, a company has to really be willing to say “ hey we need this girl really badly for our company, so let her in “. Toronto would only be a six hour drive away from my family in Montreal, and I would still get to enjoy the winter, spring, summer and fall. The way they’re suppossed to be! I love to travel all over the world, but I’ve only ever gone to Europe once! That is the place that interests me the most, and it’s where all my family lives. I would totally bring along my brother and or my mom and dad with me, because they mean so much to me ( if I would travel somewhere, not move to Toronto) . I love them, and I know they would enjoy the trips.

  2. I have to be completely honest here. I would never want to move anywhere in the US, due to the major problems and racism that occur there. I enjoy living in the safety of my home country, Canada. But, if I was forced to make a choice, it would be Burlington, since it seems pretty chill there. I also go there a lot to shop a bit. If I was able to go to any city in the whole world, I would have to chose Singapore(it is a both a city, island and country). I would want to go there because it is a very beautiful place, and would be the furthest place that I would have visited. Personally, I love to travel since it allows me to experience new cultures and meet new people. Being able to be apart of those new things allow me to be a more open-minded person. I would always choose to travel with someone, since it is always important to have someone with you, especially in foreign countries. Having someone with you enables you to be safer, since you will always have someone watching your back.

    2. I visited family in Singapore this past summer. It's one of the cleanest countries/cities in the world. It's honestly really beautiful, and the weather's perfect year round!

  3. If I had to chose a city in the us it would definitely be Soho,New York because I always wanted to get out of Canada and move there. No offense but Canada is really boring in my opinion. If I had to chose somewhere in the world I honestly don't know. I love traveling and it has always been my dream to travel around the world. Ever since I was little I've wanted to go to sommany places. I always wanted to go to New York, Paris, London, Rome, Madrid etc. I basically have always wanted to travel the world. I would probably start off by traveling with my sister because 1) it would be fun 2) it's scary to leave your country at first. Then I would start to travel by myself or if I got a boyfriend. There are so many places to visit in the world and there are so many people too!

  4. If I had to move to a US city I would move to Monterey, California. When my family went to California one of our favorite places was Monterey. It's not crazy bussey like other cities in California and has so much to offer. In the whole world I would move to Strangford Lough, Ireland. I absolutely adore Ireland and love going/being there. One of my favorite things if not my favorite thing to do is travel. For me, it depends on the trip I go on. I like to travel with others but sometimes alone.

  7. If I had too much somewhere in the US, it would be in a hot place because I'm so tired of the cold weather. So maybe someplace in Florida or California. If I could move anywhere in the world I wouldn't know which place to choose because there are so many places I've always wanted to go and think would be cool to live in. Travelling is something I love to do. My family and I travel a lot and I want to travel the world when I'm older. I'm kind of scared to travel alone right now. I just think I would get lost, plus it's more fun with other people.

  9. At this exact moment, my dream destination is the South of France. If you'd asked me a week ado, I would have said central India. If you asked me again next week, God only knows what place I'd say next. I have the strongest wanderlust out of nearly anyone I know. It's not something I talk much about, but I constantly daydream about backpacking all around the world with my friends and family when I get a little older. My mom did the whole nomad thing for a bit, and I always look through her old pictures and read through her travel journals. Maybe that's where my love of travel stems from

  10. To be honest, I really don’t want to move to the US anytime soon. There are so many terrible things that are going on down there right now, and I don't think much is going to change until someone gets rid of Donald Trump. If I really had to choose a city to move to, though, I’d probably choose someplace right on the outskirts of New York. I’ve visited New York twice before with my family, and when I was younger, I always used to dream about living there. I say on the outskirts, though, because I think that all the noise and busyness of the big city would get to me a bit. Also, it's a lot less expensive to live somewhere like Jersey City, which is just outside NYC.

  11. If I were to move anywhere in the US, It would probably be LA. I would probably only move there because there are a lot of famous people there and to be honest, I don't really enjoy the weather here in Quebec. But if I were to move anywhere else in the world it would be somewhere in Italy, most likely Rome. Travelling is my passion, and since I have flight benefits I have the opportunity to go anywhere, anytime. I love visiting different countries because I get to be introduced to new cultures and people and enjoy their beautiful beaches and weather. I would never want to travel alone because I just find that so boring. What's the point of travelling if you don't have anyone to experience it with? So yes, I would probably travel somewhere preferably with a friend, but I guess going with your parents could be pretty fun too.

  12. I would travel to California in Silicon Valley and get a job at the google headquarters that’s there. I wouldn’t really bring someon with me unless I find someone in college / cevep or universities who has the same plan as me. To be honest I have t met anyone else who wants to be a software engineer. I genuinely hate travelling on airplane as I have e a phobia of plane crashing and so I I’d probably only travel to meet my parents no other reasons then that. (Unless it’s a private jet with guranteeed security)

  13. I wouldn’t move to the US with the current problems they are facing but if I had to I would probably move to Paia, Hawaï or New York, New York. I would move to Hawaï because of the beautiful views, fresh seafood, relaxed lifestyle and learn to surf. I would move to NYC because of different reasons, to pursue a career as a videographer and to have an exciting fast paced lifestyle. I do like to travel a lot, although I haven’t traveled with friends I feel it would be a fun experience, I would love to go to Japan to experience the culture and to snowboard!

  14. I haven't been to many cities in US so i dont know where I would move. I guess i would go to a nice city like Hollywood, New York or Las Vegas. These places are expensive to live in but also extremely nice. Travelling is something I love doing. I went to Europe a few years ago and loved visiting multiple different countries. If were to move to a city in Europe it would probably be Paris because its such a nice city.

  16. I would want to move to New York too. I would want to move there because of Central Park. I read a book which described Central Park at one point and I have been fascinated about it ever since. Where I would go to in the world would be Greece, Athens more specifically because of its interesting history that I learned about in Grade seven.
I don't travel outside North America often but when in am older I want to go to Asia and Europe. If I am travelling I would want to travel with someone and not alone because it would be more fun with company.

  17. I don't travel to the US often, but if I would move to one city it would probably be something like Dallas, or Washington or even San Fransico. One city that I would move to in the entire world would be in some place remote, either North of Ontario or in the farms of London Ontario, Denfield is what the town is called. I just like being around all the farms and being on a farm. Plus all the nromal chopping stores aren't far away. I do like to travel, but not for more than like 3 weeks if it's for vacation. I've only ever lived in Montreal so I've never really travelled and lived out of Montreal. The only place that I would move to right now would be somewhere in Ontario. I like to travel in pairs or more, because it's always nice to have company to talk and discuss things with on the way.

  18. I’ve never really thought too much about living in the US. The only time I really put any thought at all into it was a while back when I was thinking that I could go work for Google or something, and Google’s HQ is located in San Jose, California. So, I guess I’d have to say over there would be my choice in the states. Apparently California’s pretty nice. Where I’d go in the world? That’s even more difficult. I’ve heard good things about Vancouver… but I’ve always wanted to live in a tropical area. I’ve visited Singapore, absolutely beautiful and awesome place 10/10 would live in if it didn’t cost a million dollars to buy a modern condo (that’s a fact, by the way, my relatives live in one). I really can’t decide. I’d probably move with someone, a friend or relative, probably. I love travelling. The thought of being surrounded by people with such different knowledge and culture it just awesome.
