My best winter break was definitely when I was in kindergarten. My parents had given us some boxes with puzzle pieces in them. When my brother and I put them together they spelled Disney World! Two weeks later we went to Disney World for a week and I had the best time ever! We were so lucky because we had missed a giant snowstorm while we were gone. Even though that was definitely the most memorable Christmas break, I always end up enjoying those two weeks because I get to relax. Although I always end up doing reflections and schoolwork throughout the break because the teachers never give us a break... LOL
I don’t think that I have ever had a bad christmas break. They have all been very good because I go on a mini vacation each year for New Year’s. But one of my best christmas and New year break was a few year ago when I went to New York. It was the best break ever because I saw the ball in time square and it was so beautiful. It was really beautiful because it kept on changing colors. It was also the best holiday break because that break I did not get a lot of homework. So I was free all week to do anything I wanted. So I went shopping with some of my friends.
I never had a bad Christmas before (knock on wood). All of them have been pretty great so far. But my favourite one is when my parents gave my siblings and I the best present ever: a European Cruise! I was so excited, I was practically jumping off the walls. The Cruise was awesome because it was our first time doing a trip like this and we went with 2 other families who are really close to us. This was a Christmas I'll never forget!
My best Christmas break was when my family had started our tradition of going to Florida every march break. My parents had made my siblings and I a puzzle and we had to piece together bits and pieces of a picture which said where we were going. We never realized( until we finished) that that picture would say that we would be going to Captiva island for march break! I really love this family tradition because all of my family memebers that we have a close relationship to on, my mom's side of the family, always come to Florida with us. Since my family on my mom's side is pretty spread out across the globe it is always nice to see them again.
Im going to talk about my best Christmas break. My best Christmas break was 2 years ago when I went to Vermont for a ski vacation. I went to a ski resort for 5 days and it was so much fun. There was an indoor waterpark at the ski resort and that was so much fun. My family was one of the only ones there so we had most of the waterpark to ourselves. This was also the first time I went skying on a really big mountain so it was lots of fun.
My christmas breaks are pretty much the same every year, and I like it that way, but my favourite one that I remember would have to be last years. I went to this big family party in Ontario and I met a bunch of people I'd heard a bout, and I had a super fun christmas with my cousins and my grandparents.
My best Christmas break would have to be last Christmas break, since I received the gift that I wanted for a long time. That year, I really wanted a ps4 and as soon as a saw a huge box under the tree I freaked. On Christmas morning I ran and ripped my gift open and yes, it was a ps4. I was so excited and so happy. I then hooked it up to the TV and ended up playing on my ps4 for most of the Christmas break which I believe would have to be one the best Christmas breaks ever.
My best Christmas break was last year. I went to a chalet with my family and a lot of my friends. we had a lot of fun their we went skiing and and we did a lot of fun activities. Their was also a pool table where we spent most the time when we did nor want to go outside.
all christmas breaks are good because you arent at school. the worst christmas break i kept on getting sick. i would get better than three days later return to the same state i was a couple days before. overall it wasn't that enjoyable but i still wasnt at school so i was happy. the other christmas were good and i wasnt sick every second day.
I haven't had many disappointing Christmas breaks because who doesn't love a good extended weekend! But last year was probably the worst because it only snowed in January leaving the cheery and hopeful Christmas children of the country with empty winds and green lawns. Watching it snow at night is personally one of the most beautiful sights to behold, even when its not snowing just the silence and the white fluff everywhere leaves me bewildered at the gorgeous view. But last year, we didn't get that. We got a green Christmas! How distasteful of Santa.
Last years Christmas break was pretty great. MY family and I went to St. Maarten in the Caribbean. We spent about 9 days just chilling beach side knowing that everyone else was back home in a snow storm. It also helped that we stayed in a 5 star hotel. It was a pretty great vacation and an even better break off school. Every year is good cause we have no school though.
My best Christmas was when my family and some of my friends rented a cottage up north. Their we went skiing and did tones of other fun activities. When we did not feel like going outside we would play on the pool table. We also went to a mountain where we could do bobsledding and tobogganing.
MY worst was by far last year. I had to go to Florida but the we had no internet! A vacation without internet is genuinely the worst thing for me as i'm the type of person that enjoys playing on my phone during spare time and communicating with the groups i'm in on my phone. The modem was broken and the repair men said they'd come AFTER WE LEAVE. That was insult to injury. So the only thing I had and could do during the week was go to the beach and believe it or not, i'm not a huge fan of having sand stuck in my pants. I would have preferred to go to a swimming pool. Insult to injury my foot got cut badly during the trip so my foot burned as i'd have sand or salt water in my wound
Man,that really does suck having a cut on your foot while at the beach. But I personally find it a bit sad that you went to Florida and didn't enjoy it because of a lack of internet. You should be exploring! Meeting new people, learning new things, experiencing new life, not sitting in your hotel room playing on your phone. You can do that anytime at home, or if you want, buy yourself a local hotel room to do it in, but not while you're on vacation in such a beautiful place.
One of my best Christmas breaks was when I was younger. I went downstairs with my sister and my brother and we saw the whole living room full of gifts. We even got drums, a keyboard, two guitars and our own iPad. It was very exiting since we were little and we made so much noise with the instruments and the other gifts that we got.
I think the best christmas was last years but I don't remember a lot of christmases. My whole family usually plays games after we open presents and eat. Last year was particularly great because my grandmother went crazy. Every answer she gave was inappropriate or morbid. My whole family had never seen that side of her. I was hilarious and embarrassing at the same time.
I honestly don't remember that many Christmases; they seem to have all blurred together. I do have one memory that immediately came to mind when I read this blog prompt, though, and it's from when I was very young, maybe five or six years old. I remember that Christmas morning because I was practically bouncing off the walls I was so excited. I ran downstairs with my sister to see if Santa Claus had come, but there was nothing under the tree. I was so disappointed, and I'm pretty sure my sister started crying. My parents came down and suggested we check and see if Santa had left anything in the basement, so we did. Down in the basement, there was a big cardboard house and a ton of markers. I remember spending hours down there afterwards, trying to colour the whole house.
My favourite New Years was about four or five or three or honestly I’m not sure how many years ago, but my immediate family went up to my extended family’s cottage. It was absolutely gorgeous where we were even though I don’t know the name and we played hockey on the lake and football in the snowbanks and went sliding and hiking and we danced and sang songs and ate food and they had this giant kite that I got to fly. There were a bunch of kids and I really like spending time with all my matantes and mononcles that I don’t get to see that often so ya.
I've nevr had a worst Christmas, because my family is totally awesome and always makes it fun and special each year. So I will tell you about my best Christmas ever, except for it is so hard to thinkof my best Christams because every year has been so good and special. I think it was when I was in kindergarden. For Christmas, I had got this big red fire truck and it was amazing!, I is like 4 feet long and the ladder and lights work too. I was really into fire turcks back then. I also got this really cool RC car tha is so small it fits inside the remote and it goes really fast, I still have it!I also got to spend time with my family and we exchanged gifts, that was pretty fun.
ive never had a bad Christmas but the worst one I had was 2 years ago because there was no SNOW. snow is the greatest thing ever and I wish that it snowed all year long. anyways that year when there was no snow sucked it was absolutely terrible. I find that Christmas without snow is trash thats why I would never be able to go on vacation on Christmas break
I think that this year will be the best break because I have so many fun activities I want to do and things I want to learn such as snowboarding (I ski) which Gabriel is supposed to teach me. I have never really had a bad break, I don't really remember much about the breaks from when I was younger, we would visit with family a lot and that was basically it other than playing in the snow and going to my cottage to ski and do other cottage things.
Last year was the best and yet the worst christmas break. I will be talking to you about my christmas eve experience. Last year we went to my aunt's house for christmas eve, now before I start this I just want to say that I love my aunt very much but come on. My entire family on my mom's side were at my aunt's house for christmas eve, we got there starving waiting to fest. So we got there starving and left there with our gifts, still starving. I was saying that I love my aunt, my love for her went from an 10 to like and 8 and a half.
my worst break was when I was 8 and my grandmother passed away on christmas morning. we got a call from my moms sister and she was crying for the rest of the day, so that kinda sucked. i still was able to spend time with my family which was fun.
I’ve had so many amazing Christmases over the years, but if I could pick any of my Christmas memories to be my favorite, it would have to be Christmas of 2014, which was the only year I can remember that I spent Christmas outside of the country. We instead went to Disney World, a place we had ALWAYS wanted to go but we thought was too expensive. Of course, it was expensive, but our parents decided to do it for us that year. It was going to be a road trip, because on such an expensive trip as this, we can’t have EVERYTHING. We stopped in Hershey, Pennsylvania for you know what and Georgia on the way, taking two days of our 2-week long trip to get to Florida. We got to go to Kennedy Space Centre in Orlando when we arrived and from there we went to Disney the day after. Disney itself was a really great experience. Most of the rides and activities were really fun and exciting. The food was really good. And they had a ton of good shows put on. And best of all, they had really good hot chocolate which my mom went out to get for my family every morning. Disney was actually the first place I ever had been on a roller coaster. Unfortunately the first one I took just happened to be one of the fastest if not THE fastest roller coaster in the entire park, and it scared the living crap out of me and I almost got really sick when it was over. I’m never doing that one again. Other than that Disney itself was amazing and certainly one of my best experiences. On the day we left Florida, we decided to take a three hour detour to Clearwater, Florida, where we got to meet the dolphins, Winter and Hope, from the Dolphin Tale movies as well as every other creature in the aquarium. We also went to Legoland which was a bit underwhelming but still fun. We stopped in Charleston as well on the way home to visit an old aircraft carrier and destroyer that participated in World War II. Our last stop before home was New Jersey, where we went to a restaurant (diner) to have breakfast food at supper. My sister ordered a waffle with nutella, but instead she got an ocean of nutella with a sunken waffle at the bottom of it. It was a bit hilarious at the time. Overall, Disney was really great and maybe missing the family gatherings wasn’t so bad after all.
