At first I didn't even know what gun control was until I searched it up. Canada doesn't have the same laws as the US relating to gun control so this subject is not foreign but also not a consistent topic. I am against gun control. There are more disadvantages than advantages to having a gun or having the right to buy a gun that could very well be used to kill someone. I think that if people don't feel safe enough that they have to buy a gun then I think that that is a problem that should be taken up with the police department of your city. Guns can be used for different things like hunting( which I am not a fan of), or protection..etc. They are also used for killing human beings. How many have died in the US by gun shot wounds and how many have died in Canada by being shot at. Canada doesn't have the law where you can have your own gun and yet the main terrorist events happen in the US. We don't have guns in our homes(legally) and we are still standing. In conclusion I think that guns are useless in solving any problem big or small. They are more likely to cause a problem than be the consequence of it.
Honestly, I don't think things like this are going to end but I think we can prevent these things from happening so often. Ending all these issues is an unrealistic goal as there are so many variables but making it harder to get your hands on a gun is more possible. Right now it feels like issues with guns are happening weekly. Or at least monthly and they are all happening in the same country. In the states, It's pretty easy to get your hands on a gun as they don't necessarily have fabulous gun laws but I guess it depends in what state you are in. Even in comparison, Canada has A LOT less gun issues then the states does. I'm definitely not saying we don't have issues involving guns, because we do but we have stricter guns laws and rules and have a lot less of these mass shootings.
Personally, I don't think this will end anytime soon because for it to come to an end people must cooperate. So far, no one is. I think there should be more strict policies about guns because in my opinion and my perspective, it is way too easy to get a gun. People should be more careful and much more kind. Everybody is human and deserves a chance to live. No one should be able to take that away from someone else.
I wish they had strict gun laws like in japan. in 2014 only 6 people died by guns! freaking 6. while 33,599 died in the USA that year. Japan runs Mental health tests, drug tests and make you take all day classes and an exam which you need to have a mark of 95% ATLEAST. not just that you have to have it in your home and inform the cops of its exact location. So unless your actually care that much about getting a gun you get it. you just cant get it willy nilly like in America.
I think that gun control is very important for a place like us to have because of what s going on recently. I get all the stuff about everyone needs a gun to protect themselves but if no one had a gun then you would not need a gun to protect yourself. Also i understand that if you are getting attacked by someone and maybe getting hurt but what is better 56 dead or one person injured. I don t think this will ever end because someone needs to always be right and they cant meat halfway so they will fight for it and sometimes take it to the extreams and people will gt hurt.
I believe that this will never end. There will always be someone out there who thinks killing people is the solution to a problem. I think that only police and people who have a license should have a gun. Even then, it's still dangerous. The US has very different laws than Canada concerning firearms. People have them in their house, in their car, in their purse, etc. If people feel the need to protect themselves with a gun, there's a serious problem. I find it wrong how people think that's it's alright to go and kill dozens of innocent people. What makes them think that it's okay to kill human beings? It is absolutely not okay because they have as much a right to live as anybody else.
this wont end for a long time. its gonna continue until they can finally pass a bill that makes it harder for people to have access to guns. i think that guns are okay to a certain extent. there should a physiological test that comes with the application they make to request a gun. there should be extensive background checks on everyone that request a gun license. right now it is way to easy for people to get a gun in america and because of that the chance of something happening is far greater then it is in Canada.
This topic is so incredibly relevant to today's American society. I believe that the U.S should have the same gun laws as we have in Canada. Canada has very good gun laws, which is exactly the reason why we have very very little gun attacks. The meme at the beginning of this blog statues how 124 million Americans suffer from depression. Nearly every single gun attack in the states has to do with the perpertrator's mental health. The U.S really neeeds to improve their healthcare! Millions of Americans are forced to pay hundreds of dollars just to pay for their medication! Millions of children are not taught about mental health AND NOBODY IS TREATED FOR THEIR MENTAL ILLNESS. These gun laws make me sick, and so does their healthcare, so I'm going to stop writing because I could do this forever.
This will not end for a long time. In Canada, we have different gun laws than America. I feel like America should have the same laws that we have now. It is really unsafe that in America you can get a gun much easier than in Canada. I believe that even people who have hunting gun permits shouldn’t have guns. We do not know how responsible they are.
I don't think that these problems will stop or even decrease anytime soon. The US isn't planning on changing their gun control laws, and, as a few people before me stated, there will always be one person that has sick, twisted ideas about how the world should be, and it only takes one person to create conflict. If we are giving these people the ability to acquire a gun, we are simultaneously giving people the ability to create more violent and more aggressive conflicts.
I honestly do not think that things like will ever end because there are alway going to have gun in the world and there are alway going to have those kinds of people makes those acts happen. I also think that the only way the stop the action that are happening in the US. I think that gun control is very important in this society because a lot of people are dieing in the US because there are not any gun control laws in the US. I think that you do not need a gun to resolve any problems. I think that a lot of people are dieing because it is a lot too easy to get a gun it the USA. I think that they should have gun control in the usa because if they did have it the people who've died would still be alive today.
The sad and honest reality is that it won’t stop. There will always be conflict, there will always be arguments. At this point there really isn’t a wat to stop it. There will always be people who do sick things. I believe that America definitely needs a lot more gun control laws, like Canada. Litterally nothing extremely violent has happened here in a long time. I think thats proof that higher gun control actually does create peace.
This gun violence will not end anytime soon. Until there is not a single gun on Earth there will be gun violence and attacks. There is not near enough rules against owning a gun in many countries. Canada is very good at keeping guns out of its country but U.S.A. for example is terrible at that. There are multiple cases of gun related violence a day in the United States every day. It is much too easy to get a gun in the U.S.A. and there is not enough laws around it, which is why there is so much gun violence. I think gun violence can stop, but every country needs to put in many more laws and it should be much harder to get a gun.
I feel that the guns and the violence will not end ant time soon due to the stupid and stubborn people of the us who think that they have all the rights to carry machine guns on the street for protection. first there will never be something so severe that you need to carry a full automatic machine gun on you and even if there is its not up to you to interfere its the job of the police or the army. personally I feel that guns are only tools for the military or hunting there is absolutely no reason for normal people to have guns because there is no use for it all it is is a killing weapon and nobody needs that. the worst part is the ridiculous useless laws that the U.S has on guns. the U.S government is always saying that there going to reinforce the laws due to the handfuls of extremely deadly shootings but as we know nothing has happens and that is due to pure laziness and stupidity.
I think that gun violence will never really end, but it’s been proven time and time again that outlawing guns reduces gun-related accidents and violent acts. I did a project on this last year, and I don’t remember the exact statistics, but essentially countries with strict gun control have drastically lower rates of gun violence than countries with little to no gun control. (Shocker) I realize that it’s impossible to completely eliminate guns in my lifetime (although I strongly wish we could), having strict gun control is guaranteed to reduce the number of gun-related incidents. I really hope we all agree on this.
Hopefully this act will end sooner or later. I believe that since we (Canadians) have stricter gun laws, that other countries that allow guns should all have those laws as well. It is not fair that anyone can just buy a gun without any complications. No one should have control over someones life. But even though it is the right thing to do, I don't think these laws will change anytime soon.
In reality, there will never be an end to gun violence. No matter how hard we try to tell people that gun violence is unacceptable and pure evil, people still tend to participate in these acts either for revenge, personal games, mental health issues and many more reasons(some being for no reason at all). So, there will never be a end to gun violence, but there are ways that we can reduce it. The reason why I say reduce it is because we will never live in a society that is perfect. No matter how hard we try, there will always be flaws here and there, especially since the laws in the U.S are not strict at all with gun control. Almost anybody can get a gun which is extremely dangerous to their society. Some people aren't even mentally stable enough to own one, but yet they still receive them. The only to reduce gun violence, we can impose a new law, forbidding any civilian to rent, buy or carry their guns. No civilian would be allowed to require a gun at all. Only police workers when they are on duty, people of the army(when they are serving) etc. But, in reality we have certain sports and hobbies that use guns to perform them. We can still allow people to go to shooting ranges and hunt, but they will all have to be background checked and screened. While performing these activities, they should be watched by security to ensure society's safety. But society will still never be perfect when it comes to gun control. Only if all of the guns on the planet would disappear.
I honestly think that this will just keep on happening and will never really have an end, even if the people get what they want. Even though it doesn't happen very often in Canada, I know it will happen else where. I think people, not just in the U.S.A, have too much control over guns. I'm completely against guns, except when it comes to police force or military force. My view on gun control is that they don't have full control, they have like a quarter of the control, maybe even less. I feel like they check the customer's ID and background before selling the gun well, just it still isn't a good system. For example, how can you check the person's background if they haven't been arrested, do they just give they gun with no problem? In that case anybody with no bad record can just go by a gun and shoot up some place. I find this stupid. The government should enforce new laws and restrictions for guns. I know with all the guns being made, distributed and sold legally or illegally, we can never completely abolish or eliminate guns, like not even close.
It will never end unless there are really strict gun laws. I generally prefer if they went super strict. Like japans gun laws. Because of how strict they are, if you hear a gunshot, chances are its nothing. There's around 30, 000 people who die in america by guns every year. Hell walking around is like a lottery, one day your walking home the other day a crazy man who showed all the signs of crazy kills you! why? because of the stupid 2nd amendment which literally allows you to have a gun even if you raped someone, robbed someone and kill animals for joy. The person who did the massacre a couple of days ago praised and openly said that he wished he could massacre a church like the person who did the Charleston church shooting. he even got outed from the army for violent behavior and attempting to bring guns into the air force. The gun sellers don't need to do background checks anymore after trump removed Obama's executive order so that could also be a possibility for why the shootings happened. In all honesty if they added some regulations they could reduce the death count of innocent people to 30 000 to 10 000 but sadly I don't believe it is possible as NRA donates millions of dollars to the republicans in order for them to protect the second amendment. I understand that they wish to protect themselves however the amount of bullets they have and how you can get semi automatic guns makes no sense to me. chances are, when you need to pull out your gun its not against 10s of people. its usually 1,2 which ironically they're probably using guns as well meaning you'd still die as they would have caught you off guard. In conclusion I see way too many exploits in the 2nd amendment , they need to tone it down a bit in order to stop the gun violence and the republicans need to stop getting bribed by the NRA as there are basically no restrains in stopping you from buying a gun and massacring someone.
I think that it's because of the law in the US. to own a gun, you could be a regular citizen, don't need any training etc. Basically anyone can use a gun or has easy access to buying them. I doubt that the US will change anything about that law because maybe some people only use it for self defense in case something ever happens. To change that law I'm sure that they're been many problems
I agree, making guns straight up illegal could be difficult but making it harder for anyone to get guns could help prevent future cases and at least be a start to diminishing the amount of guns in America.
I personally don’t think gun control is strict enough in the U.S. A lot of people buy guns to use as self defense but some of these situations could be avoided if guns were illegal since you wouldn’t have such easy access to them. Of course, guns, weapons and other illegal items will always be available for those who look hard enough, unfortunately. However there are people who wouldn’t go to such great lengths anyways. But we aren’t in the U.S. and it’s not the same over here. Guns don’t necessarily have to be illegal but there isn’t really a reason for them to not at least make them slightly more difficult for people to obtain.
I find Canada has much stricter gun laws than America and that this helps reduce the danger of guns by a fair bit but America and Canada could still work on gun laws by doing better back ground checks and changing some laws that permit you to carry a firearm on you. My point is, people don't think enough about how their gun laws could keep them safer.

ReplyDeleteMy point is, people don't think enough about how their gun laws could keep them safer.
